Player’s Choice Tennis was founded in 1993 in Birmingham, Alabama and has since undergone several transformations. The latest change occurred in October of 2007, when Jack and Deborah Standifer acquired the store. We are now over 4,000 square feet of everything you could possibly need and want for tennis. And if we don’t have it in stock we will gladly order it for you at no additional charge. We help all tennis players from the beginner to members of the Swiss Davis Cup Team. Our knowledge and selection of racquets, string, bags, shoes and clothing is unsurpassed in Alabama.

Yes, the internet is convenient at times, but internet sites don’t support local tennis teams, donate to local fundraisers, buy adds in high school year books, pay taxes, etc. One of my favorite stores shut down not long ago and I still wonder if there were more I could have done to support them.
